What to Expect from Faith-Based Coaching: Your Questions Answered

When you’re healing from trauma, navigating a life transition, or seeking clarity about your purpose, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. You may wonder, “Where do I even start?”

That’s where coaching comes in. As a trauma-informed, Christian life coach, I walk alongside women who are ready to heal from the inside out, reclaim their confidence, and move forward with purpose. In this post, I’m answering the most common questions about my coaching style, what it looks like to work with me, and how this process supports your healing and growth.

How Can Coaching Help You?

Coaching creates space for you to be seen, supported, and strengthened. It helps you:

  • Heal from emotional trauma

  • Identify and overcome limiting beliefs

  • Improve self-awareness and relationships

  • Navigate transitions with clarity

  • Grow spiritually and mentally

Through faith-based coaching, I equip you with mindset tools, biblical truth, and trauma-informed strategies to help you move forward with confidence and direction.

What Is Your Coaching Style?

My coaching style is:

  • Faith-Based: Anchored in biblical wisdom and aligned with your spiritual values

  • Trauma-Informed: Sensitive to your lived experiences, always grounded in safety and compassion

  • Mindset-Focused: Designed to challenge limiting beliefs and shift your internal narrative

I meet you where you are—whether you’re firm in your faith or still figuring things out—and together, we build toward emotional healing and spiritual growth. Inspired by Romans 8:5, every session is a blend of truth, grace, and strategy.

How Long Is Each Coaching Session?

Most coaching sessions last about 60 minutes, but we can adjust the length based on your needs and the coaching package you choose.

How Do You Help Clients Set Goals?

We go beyond surface-level goals. I help you:

  • Identify what’s holding you back

  • Reframe limiting thoughts

  • Create purpose-aligned goals rooted in your values and strengths

Whether you’re healing, pivoting, or stepping into leadership, your goals will reflect where you are and where you’re being called.

How Do You Hold Clients Accountable?

Accountability isn’t about pressure—it’s about partnership.

I provide:

  • Clear action steps after each session

  • Progress check-ins and reflection exercises

  • Encouragement that keeps you anchored in grace, not guilt

Together, we’ll make sure your goals stay connected to your growth.

What If I Need Support Between Sessions?

Life doesn’t pause between sessions, and neither does your healing. If you need guidance, you can reach out to me directly via email at latonyalhowell@gmail.com. I encourage open communication so you’re never walking through your healing alone.

Is Coaching Confidential?

Yes, your privacy is a top priority. Everything we discuss in our sessions is held in strict confidence. I adhere to professional coaching ethics that honor your emotional safety and protect your personal information. Even when sharing testimonials, I never reveal client names or identifying details—your story stays yours.

How Much Does Coaching Cost?

Coaching investments vary based on the package and session frequency. I offer:

  • Flexible payment plans

  • Income-based options

  • Several coaching packages tailored to different seasons of life

You can explore what fits you best during a free Curiosity Call—there’s no pressure, just clarity.

What Happens If I Struggle to Follow Through on My Goals?

Healing isn’t a straight line—and I don’t expect perfection.
If follow-through feels hard, we’ll get honest about what’s holding you back and shift the approach.
This is a grace-filled process. We grow through the struggle, not around it.

How Do You Handle Difficult Conversations with Clients?

Hard conversations are part of healing. I hold space for truth with gentleness, helping you reflect, process, and grow without shame. Coaching isn’t just strategy—it’s a sacred partnership where you’re safe to be real.

When Might Coaching Come to an End?

A coaching relationship may end when:

  • You’ve met your goals

  • Coaching no longer feels aligned

  • Progress has paused despite adjustments

  • Payment obligations are not met

  • You need support outside of coaching (e.g., therapy or counseling)

If that moment comes, I’ll always close the coaching relationship with care, professionalism, and referrals if needed.

What Is Your Cancellation Policy?

I require a minimum 24-hour notice for all cancellations or reschedules. Life happens—but honoring your time and mine creates mutual respect and flow in the coaching process.
